Providing Southend’s Largest Park

Other than on the existing public right of way that crosses the site, the land is not publicly accessible. These proposals would change that, with over 40% of the site being open space, accessible to the public.

Included within that, our proposals for a new country park of c 22 hectares, will create the largest park in Southend. Its location and layout has been designed to ensure it is accessible to existing residents as well as those within the development.

Our plans would open up the site as a space for community wellbeing and leisure, while enhancing biodiversity by creating new habitats where nature and wildlife can flourish.

  • A cricket and/ or football pitch;

  • Food growing/ community orchard;

  • Wildflower meadows;

  • Formal and informal play.

We would welcome your feedback to understand what other amenities the community would like to see.
